Self-Study | Telehealth: Ethics, Best Practices & Guidelines
This is a text based, non-interactive self-study course. You will earn 2.5 CE's after completing this course.
This course aims to develop a guideline on the modality of Telehealth in mental health, social work, and psychology practices. Telepsychology's growth inspired the need to develop the handbook on the modality in the general psychology community. Its growth has caused greater attention towards its unique legal and ethical considerations within the practice.
The guideline is developed by analyzing some of the inherent legal and ethical issues within the practice field. Some inherent legal issues include licensure, clinical practice liability coverage, billing/payment, competence, client welfare, consent, confidentiality, and boundary navigation. This guideline summarizes the analysis's critical consideration in Telehealth in psychology, social work, and mental health discipline.
