This course provides a framework and approaches for social workers to learn more about self-care. Self-Care 101 is a training to learn how to create a personalized self-care plan to organize one’s life according to individual lifestyle. Self-Care is individual and in this class participants will gain the knowledge necessary to apply self-care in their personal life, but also assist clients in creating their own personalized plan to meet daily needs.

Daybelis Ramirez
Daybelis Ramirez is a mental health professional - Licensed Master Social Worker. She has been providing psychotherapy under supervision treating depression, anxiety, and PTSD. As a Certified Medical Cannabis Consultant, Ms. Ramirez does the initial evaluation for people who want to use cannabis as a treatment method for medical or mental health conditions. In addition, as a Certified Cannabis Instructor teaching several cannabis courses such as the Certified Medical Cannabis Consultant Course, Cannabis Advisor, and Cannabis 101. Ms. Ramirez has additional certifications in mindfulness meditation, health and healing, and brain health. She is the founder of Special Day LLC, a self-care consulting company where she helps others create a personalized self-care plan to meet basic needs with or without cannabis.

It is necessary for all the participants of the workshop to have the capability of video and audio as this workshop is interactive and participant interaction is required. You are able to interact with the lecturer with using the chat function or verbally (if you have a working microphone).
Format and Topics
In this 3 hours course, participants will be part of a LIVE instruction and receive the class material to follow along with presentation. During this course, participants will engage in different activities to gain first hand experience on how to utilize the model. Participants are required to be present for 2 hours and will receive 1 hour of independent study to complete individualized self-care model and course evaluation. The class outline will explore different areas of self-care.
